As a side event to SSbD26, the SUNRISE project invites conference participants to a free workshop on the morning of 9 November.

SUNRISE is developing a tiered Integrated Impact Assessment Approach (IIAA) for advanced materials across different stages of innovation, implemented through a dedicated e-infrastructure.

This workshop provides a comprehensive walk-through of the logical and mathematical architecture underpinning safety and sustainability integration within the SUNRISE e-infrastructure, incorporating the updated JRC SSbD framework. A key focus is the systematic mapping and navigation of inherent trade-offs, balancing human safety, environmental impact and technical performance to avoid shifting burdens across the product lifecycle.

Participant input is central to the session: attendees will review the proposed approaches and provide constructive feedback to refine the procedure.
